IET Scholarship 2023: The IET India Scholarship Award is the largest scholarship program in India for undergraduate engineering students. It has been designed by the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) to acknowledge and support future engineering leaders in India. The 7th edition of the award program aims to inspire undergraduate engineering students by recognizing their creativity, innovation, leadership, and excellence. Application Fee
- There is no any application fee required for IET India Scholarship application form.
Eligibility for IET India Scholarship Award 2023
To qualify for the IET India Scholarship Award 2023, applicants must be full-time B.Tech students in India, studying in the first, second, third, or fourth year.
Eligibility Guidlines
- Any 1st, 2nd, 3rd year and 4th year full time regular UG Engineering student from an AICTE/UGC approved institution. (Open to students across all engineering branches as recognised by the AICTE/UGC.)
- All regular credit courses must have been cleared in a single attempt by the applicant.
- UG marks should be at least 60% in aggregate for the semesters cleared so far or corresponding to CGPA of at least 6.0 in a 10 point scale
- There is no age limit for the applicant.
- Application is open to IET members, as well as non-members.
- Students from AICTE/UGC approved Institutions and national institutes are eligible to apply for scholarship.

IET India Scholarship Awards Process
The IET India Scholarship Award 2023 will go through four stages:
Stage 1: Online Application & Evaluation
- Candidates must apply online through the provided website for the IET India Scholarship Award 2023.
- Only eligible candidates will be considered in the Online Application round.
- Shortlisted candidates will undergo an online test on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) essentials.
- The top 10 percentile of applicants from each region will proceed to Stage 2.
- The weightages for evaluation are as follows:
- Academics: 60%
- Extra & Co-Curricular: 20%
- Outreach: 10% (Activities beyond institutional activities)
- Professional: 10% (Membership and involvement in professional bodies)
Stage 2: Online Test
- Shortlisted applicants will participate in an All-India online test.
- The test will assess knowledge in various engineering subjects.
- Approximately 50 multiple-choice questions will be included.
- The top 30 scorers from each region will advance to Stage 3.
- Selected applicants will be notified by email by June 19, 2023.
Stage 3: Regional Rounds
- Shortlisted applicants from each region will present on given topics.
- The topics will address important societal challenges specific to each region.
- Contestants will receive the topic at least 10 days in advance to prepare.
- The presentations will take place in central cities for each region.
- Winners and runners-up from each region will be identified.
Regions for the Regional Assessment:
- Regional North (Delhi)
- Regional South 1 (Bangalore)
- Regional South 2 (Chennai)
- Regional East + North East (Kolkata)
- Regional West (Mumbai)
Stage 4: National Finals
- The National Finals will tentatively be held in August 2023.
- The five winners from the Regional Rounds will present their technological solutions and vision for the engineering problem.
- National Finalists will be judged by a national jury based on their presentations and overall growth throughout the stages.
- The National Finals may include a Group Discussion with a topic provided by the jury.
- The National Finals will take place in Bangalore.

IET Scholarship Awards Amount
There will be 5 regional presentations at 5 different locations (Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai)
The scholarship awarded for the regional rounds will be as follows:
- Regional Round: Winner – Rs 60,000 + Certificate + IET Membership
- Runner Up – Rs 40,000 + Certificate + IET Membership
Winners of the regional round will compete in the national finals:
- Winner: Rs 3,00,000 + Certificate + IET Membership
- 1st Runner Up: Rs 1,70,000 + Certificate + IET Membership
- 2nd Runner Up: Rs 1,50,000 + Certificate + IET Membership
NOTE : A student who wins the scholarship at both the Regional and National levels will receive certificates for both levels and the prize money for the national level only.

Q. Where is the online test conducted?
A. The online test is conducted on the scholarship platform itself (https://scholarships.theietevents.com). Login with your registered email address and password to access the exam module.
Q. Will I receive an email before the test slot booking?
A. A follow-up email will be sent on June 19th to remind you to book your time slot. We recommend booking your test slot as soon as possible within this time window.
Q. What are the dates for the online test?
A. The online test will be held from June 23rd to June 25th.
Q. What are the subjects/syllabus of the online test?
A. The online test includes questions from the following 7 subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Mechanical.
Q. How long does the exam last?
A. The exam duration is 70 minutes, with an additional 2 minutes at the start for a quick introduction to IET and familiarizing yourself with the test instructions.
