PM YASASVI 2023: The Department of Social Justice & Empowerment has cancelled the Entrance Test for PM YASASVI Scholarship 2023. Instead of conducting an entrance test, they will grant the PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India (PM-YASASVI) 2023 on the basis of Merit List of class 08th and 10th Marks.
According the official notice of Social Justice & Empowerment, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided not to conduct the Entrance Test for the year 2023 and selection will be made on merit based.
The decision was made by the department with the convenience of the students in mind, given the limited time available. The selection will be based on a merit list prepared by considering the marks obtained by the candidates in classes VIII and X, following the scheme’s guidelines.
As per official notification:
“Keeping in view the paucity of time for the test, the Department has re- considered the matter. It has been decided that instead of the Entrance Test (which will entail extra burden on the applicants), the selection for this year will now be done on the basis of the merit to be prepared considering the marks obtained in the class VIII & X, as applicable, as per scheme guidelines. The students will be selected through NSP Portal. All students who obtained 60% or above marks in 8th or 10th class are eligible to apply on NSP portal.” View Official Notice
The awardees will be selected using the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). All students who have scored 60% or higher in their eighth or tenth classes are eligible to apply through the NSP site – www.scholarships.gov.in. Detailed instructions on the registration process are awaited.
