Eligibility Criteria
PM YASASVI Top Class College Education for OBC, EBC, and DNT Students
- The scheme covers OBC, EBC, and DNT students pursuing studies after Class XII.
- Students must have a total annual family income from all sources up to ₹2.50 lakhs.
- Eligibility requires securing admission in a full-time course at any notified institution based on the general selection criteria of the institution.
- The scholarship is available only for up to 2 siblings in a family. Students must submit an affidavit certifying they are not the third sibling availing benefits under the scheme.
- If the number of eligible students exceeds the allotted slots, scholarships will be awarded to top students based on the inter-se merit list of admission criteria. Preference is given to students with lower family income if there is a tie for the last slot.
- Remaining eligible students from OBC, EBC, and DNT categories who do not receive the scholarship may qualify for the Post-Matric Scholarship (PMS) through State Governments/UT Administrations.
- If there are fewer eligible candidates in the 1st year than the allocated slots, the remaining slots can be offered to eligible students in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th years based on inter-se merit of the previous year’s results. Priority is given to students with more years left to complete their course.
- Thirty percent (30%) of the slots are reserved for eligible girl students based on their inter-se merit. If there aren’t enough eligible girl students, the slots may be transferred to eligible boy students based on their inter-se merit.
- The 30% reservation for girls does not include those selected on overall merit in the OBC, EBC, or DNT categories at the institution.

Scholarship Amount
Living expenses, books & stationery, and computer/laptop costs are paid directly to the student by the Central Government through DBT.
Full Tuition Fee and Non-Refundable Charges:
Up to ₹2.00 lakhs per annum per student for private sector institutions.
Up to ₹3.72 lakhs per annum per student for private sector flying clubs for Commercial Pilot Training and Type Rating Courses.
Living Expenses:
₹3,000 per month per student.
Books and Stationery:
₹5,000 per annum per student.
Computer/Laptop:
One-time assistance of up to ₹45,000 per student for a computer/laptop with accessories (UPS, printer) from a reputed brand.
Payment Process:
Tuition fees and non-refundable charges are paid directly to the institution by the Central Government through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

- On the dashboard, navigate to the ‘Students’ option on the left-hand side and click on it.
- Click on the ‘Login’ button under the OTR (One-time Registration) option, as required to apply for a scholarship on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
- On the left-hand side of the dashboard, click on the ‘New user? Register yourself’ button.
- Read the details carefully, tick the checkbox, and click on the ‘Next’ button.
- Enter a functional mobile number, captcha code, and OTP, then submit to complete the registration process.
- Fill in the required details and click on ‘Save & Register’ to complete the ‘One-time registration (OTR)’ process.
- Note: This is a temporary registration number. Students need to download the OTR mobile application for face authentication to complete the OTR process.
- After successful registration, navigate to the ‘Apply for Scholarship’ option and click on the ‘Login’ button.
- Select the scholarship, fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents, and submit.
Important Notes: Submitting multiple applications will result in disqualification.
