SVMCM Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

  • Regular mode of study for any of the following courses:
    • Class 11 and Class 12
    • UG Level (Science, Arts, Commerce, Engineering, Medical, and Technical/Professional courses)

Academic Requirements:

  • Passed in the year 2022, 2021, or 2020 with:
    • 60% marks in aggregate in the last qualifying examination (75% for previous year passout candidates) from West Bengal Board of Secondary Education/West Bengal Council for Higher Secondary Education/Madrasa Education for Higher Secondary level or Under Graduate level Scholarship.
    • 60% marks in aggregate in diploma course from Institutes approved by AICTE and affiliated to WBSCT&VE&SD for Under Graduate level Scholarship (in 2nd year Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy courses through Lateral Entry) or affiliated by State Medical Faculty for Under Graduate level Scholarship (in 2nd year Pharmacy course through Lateral Entry).
    • 53% marks in aggregate in Graduation (Honours Subject) from any State University for PG Level Scholarship (General Education) /55% marks in Graduate Courses from any State University or AICTE approved Institute of West Bengal for Post Graduate Level Scholarship (Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy).
  • Pursuing M.Phil courses and Doctoral courses (Non-NET Junior Research fellow and NET-Lecturership) from State-aided institutions.
  • Girls pursuing PG degree from universities of the state after obtaining UG degree with at least 45% marks in aggregate can avail the scholarship scheme as Kanyashree(K3) applicants.

Income Criteria:

  • Family income of Rs. 2,50,000 /- per annum or below for all candidates applying for the SVMCM scheme 2023-24.

Required Documents for Swami Vivekananda Scholarship

For Fresh and Kanyashree Applicants

To apply for the SVMCM Scholarship 2024, students must upload certain documents along with their application form. Here’s a list of the required documents for Fresh and Kanyashree applicants:

  1. Marksheet of Madhyamik Examination or its equivalent (Both sides).
  2. Marksheet of the last Board/Council/University/College examination (Both sides).

Steps to Apply Online for Swami Vivekananda Scholarship Application 2024

Students who wish to apply for the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship 2024 can follow the steps mentioned below to complete the application process on the official website – svmcm.wbhed.gov.in. The entire application process, along with the schedule, is listed below.

Step 1: Registration

  • Fill and submit the online registration form to generate a 15-character Applicant ID
  • Download the registration slip or note down the Applicant ID for future use
  • Girls’ students pursuing regular post-graduation courses without any Kanyashree(K2) ID can apply under the Directorate of Public Instruction category
  • For renewal of existing beneficiaries, login with the previous Applicant ID and Password

Step 2: Online Application

  • Login using the Applicant ID, Password (set during registration), and Captcha (Security Code)
  • Fill up the remaining application form
  • Upload a scanned copy of the image and signature in JPG/JPEG format with a size between 20KB-50KB and 10KB-20KB, respectively

Step 3: Upload Documents

  • Upload all necessary documents in PDF format with a file size not exceeding 400KB
  • Select the Competent Authority whom the Income Certificate is issued from

Step 4: Submission

  • After successful upload, check the application in view mode and click on Submit Application to complete the application process

  • Contact the concerned Head of Institution for any modification needed after submission, and unlock the application to edit the details
