Application Fee

• Application fee for National Means Cum Merit Scholarship 2023-24 for General, EWS and OBC Category Students is Rs. 70/- and for Physical Disablity and ST category Students is Rs. 50/- .

Eligibility Criteria

• Students who are studying in Government Primary Schools, Local Body Schools (District Panchayat/Mahanagarpalika/Municipality School) and Granted Primary Schools in the current academic year in Class-8th
• General Category and O.B.C. Category student should have secured at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in class-7.
• Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) student should have secured at least 50% marks or equivalent grade in Class-7.
• Annual income of the candidate’s guardian should not exceed 3,50,000/-

Note:- Students of Private Schools (Private Schools/Self Finance Schools), Kendriya Vidyalayas, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas and residential schools run by Central/State Government Institutions where accommodation, meals and study facilities are provided will not be eligible to fill the application form in this examination.

How To Apply Online for NMMS Gujarat?

Here are the steps for applying to theNational Means Cum Merit Scholarship 2023-24 Exam:

1. Visit the official website of the State Examination Board of Gujarat at sebexam.org or go through the direct link, given below
2. Click on the ‘National Means Cum Merit Scholarship 2023-24‘ link on the home page which is displayed under the latest notification section.
3. Once you reach the National Means Cum Merit Scholarship 2023-24 web page, enter your U Dise number and click on the submit button to apply. Please note that the U-Dise Number should be obtained from the principal of the school in which the student is currently studying.
4. After clicking on the submit button, a pre-filled form will be shown. Kindly confirm your personal details and school details. If there is a change in your school, enter the new School Dise code and click on “Change School” button to update your school details for this examination. Enter the mobile numbers of your parents and principal/teacher mobile number. Kindly click on Submit to submit your form.
5. After submitting the form, upload your photograph, signature, and select your date of birth. Confirm your details and then click on confirm button to confirm your application. After confirming, you will not be able to edit the application.
6. After filling in all the details, click on the submit application button. Your application will be submitted successfully.
7. After submission of the online application form, pay the National Means Cum Merit Scholarship 2023-24 examination fee through proper online payment methods.
8. After uploading the details of all students, click on the ‘Report’ at the top of the application form. Then click on the ‘PDF’ link for the display of the Nominal Roll.
9. Take a printout of the future refrences.

Special Note:– The government of India has made it mandatory for the beneficiary students of National Means Come Merit Scholarship (N.M.M.S) scheme to register on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) as per Aadhaar card from the current year. In case there is a mismatch between the name of the school’s U-Dice and the Aadhaar card, there is no difficulty in registering the student, so the student’s U- The online form has to be filled after carefully verifying that the name of the U-dice is the same as the name as per the Aadhaar card.

Scholarship Amount

Selected students will receive a scholarship of Rs. 12,000 per year, which amounts to Rs. 1,000 per month per student. This support is provided annually to students studying in classes IX to XII in State Government, Government-aided, and local body schools.

Total State Quota is 5097 Students.

NMMS Gujarat: Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The National Means Cum Merit Scholarship 2023-24 Exam follows a Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) format and consists of 180 marks to be completed within 3 hours (Blind students will be allowed 30 minutes additional time). The exam can be taken in either English or Gujarati language.

• The 90 Question of Mental Ability Test (MAT) will be verbal non-verbal logical reasoning These questions include the test may be on analogy, classification, numerical series, pattern perception, hidden figure etc.
• The SAT Academic Aptitude Test will consist of 90 questions covering Math, Science, and Social Science subjects from both class 7th and class 8th.
  • For class 7th, the questions will be based on the syllabus from the previous academic year.
  • For class 8th, the questions will focus on the syllabus from the first semester of the current academic year.

Qualifying Marks for National Means Cum Merit Scholarship

For General and O.B.C. category students, it is necessary to attain a minimum of 40% marks in total in both sections. On the other hand, for SC and ST category students, the requirement is a minimum of 32% marks in total in both sections.

Only those students who achieve the qualifying marks will be considered. However, among those who qualify, only the most meritorious students will be eligible for the scholarship, in accordance with the district-wise and category-wise fixed quota.
