Eligibility Criteria for Aikyashree Scholarship Programs
The eligibility requirements vary for different types of Aikyashree scholarships, and students need to apply based on their educational level.
For the West Bengal Pre-matric Scholarship:
- Students must be domiciled in West Bengal.
- They should be enrolled in either Class 9 or 10.

Regarding the West Bengal Post-matric Scholarship:

- Must have secured at least 50% marks in the last Higher Secondary/ Graduation examination.

For the Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti Scholarship, West Bengal:
- Students must be domiciled in West Bengal.
- Applicants must be female.
- Candidates should have completed Class 12th from any recognized board.
- They should have aspirations to study Engineering, Medicine, or Basic Science at a reputable institution in West Bengal.
Regarding the Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship (SVMCM):
- Applicants must be residents of West Bengal.
- Students should be in Class 11 or 12, or pursuing graduation in Engineering, Medical, Technical/Professional courses (if not in general UG/PG courses).
- For students at the higher secondary level or pursuing a diploma, a minimum of 75% marks in Class 10th is required.
- For undergraduates, a minimum of 75% marks in Class 12th is required.
- The annual family income should not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakh.
- Scholarships are awarded based on both merit and means.

Regarding the Hindi Scholarship Scheme, West Bengal:
- Applicants must be residents of West Bengal.
- They should be from non-Hindi speaking states.
- Students must have completed one of the following degrees: Madhyamik, higher secondary, graduation, PG, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 60% marks in the previous qualifying exam, in the first attempt, with Hindi as a subject is required.
Regarding Merit-cum-Means Scholarship Scheme, West Bengal:
- Yearly Income of the applicant’s family from all sources not exceeding Rs. 80,000/-, and,
- 75% marks in aggregate in the Madhyamik or the H.S. Exam, for applying respectively for the H.S.-level or the UG-level scholarships,
- For 55% marks in the Honours subject in graduation for the PG-level scholarships.

Follow the outlined steps below to successfully navigate through the Aikyashree application process:
Step 1 – Student Registration
- Go to the official WBMDFC portal or directly access the Aikyashree Scholarship portal.
- Choose “New Registration.”
- Select your Institute’s District.
- Complete the registration form by providing your Name, District, Guardian’s Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, Email ID, and Bank Account Number.
- Click “Submit” to proceed.
Step 2 – Scheme Eligibility
- Fill in the scheme eligibility details on the webpage, including your current institution, its location, course or class name, last exam passed, board name, year of passing the last exam, percentage of marks obtained, annual family income, and email ID.
- Review the details carefully and click “Submit & Proceed.”
Step 3 – Registration Completion
- Upon completing the previous step, a temporary User ID will be generated.
- Check your email or inbox for the password, which will be sent to you.
Step 4 – Student Login
- Use the provided User ID and Password to log in through the Student Log-In window.
- Enter the following details:

- For added security, change the password (this is mandatory) and then click “Submit.”
Step 5 – Final Submission
- Fill in the Basic Information section.

Renewal Process for Aikyashree Scholarship:
To renew your WBMDFC scholarship, follow these steps:
- Access the official website that covers all scholarship categories (Pre-Matric, Post Matric, MCM, TSP, SVMCM scholarships).
- Choose the “Renewal Application” option, which will open a new window.
- Pick your district and confirm by clicking OK in the displayed dialogue box.

WBMDFC was established in 1996 as per West Bengal Act XVIII of 1995, i.e. The West Bengal Minorities’ Development and Finance Corporation Act, 1995.The Corporation has taken up various schemes for Economic Welfare, Scholarships, vocational training, mass awareness and career counseling which are running successfully for persons belonging to the notified religious minority Communities i.e., Muslim/Christian/Buddhist/Sikh/Jain and Parsee for their economic upliftment.
